Secret Strategy

You found the perfect set of products to sell on your web site and when you call the manufacturer of the products they mail you a paper catalog.

This is the 21st century, right?

Unfortunately, companies don’t have product data that can be electronically imported into your shopping cart solution. This means you have to key in each product and SKU variation by hand. This could take days and days on top of other things that have to be configured.

Not to worry, you have options. Here’s the secret.

Use offshore data entry resources. Not only is it cost-effective, your dollars go towards providing a humanitarian effort to Cambodians.

How it works: Data entry is performed by two members of the Cambodian team and a sophisticated computer software program compares the results. The last step is a QA process that resolves any conflicts. We highly recommend this process. You will definitely feel good knowing you’ve got good quality data and you helped out your fellow human beings.

Secret Strategy

January 9, 2009 11:06 by Calvin Luttrell
This one is so simple yet so overlooked that almost no one does it. The mere act of taking initiative and following up with customers in and of itself can set you apart from your competition and will help your customers remember who you are. After a sale is made and the product has been received, call the customer. Ask them how they liked the product, if it arrived in a timely fashion, if it met their expectations. Give them the opportunity to voice their feelings and opinions. If there’s a problem, this is your chance to fix it. Invite them to provide a review of their product or experience and place it on your web site. They won’t forget you AND they’ll be very likely to tell their friends, family and co-workers about you. There’s no price tag you can put on word-of-mouth!

Secret Strategy

Always include inbound links from your press releases and articles to your web site. Each and every time your release is used in a blog, on a web site, or anywhere online for that matter, it will help to increase your web site ranking in the search engines. It’s a two-fold SEO trick that works. The information in the article is pure content, optimized and web-ready. Google and the other search engines LOVE content. So the odds of the information getting indexed quickly are pretty high. Also when your release is used by news organizations, blogs, web sites and individuals you’ve got 100s, possibly 1000s of links coming into your web site. How cool is that!

Secret Strategy

When choosing your platform choose something that can handle your growth and your vision for the next 5 years. If you choose a solution built on a platform that is already absolute you'll most likely be reinvesting in a new platform in the very near future when business is successful. Do it right the first time.
