The principal difference between the two is that the codebase of SugarCRM has been updated to incorporate Microsoft.net (dotnet) from PHP on MySQL. One could say that as the sweetener Splenda is to sugar, so SplendidCRM is to SugarCRM.
ProjectThunder has taken this relationship one step further, offering customers the incomparable VoodooCRM, a customizable spinoff solution based on the Splendid framework.
