.Net lead engineer
Based in the Philippines, Sidky Macatangay joined ProjectThunder in March 2007 as a contract programmer. In this capacity, his primary responsibility is to make sure the programming requirements of a project are met, and to provide technical support when needed. Prior to joining ProjectThunder, Sidky worked as a senior applications developer for Chiyoda Philippines Corporation, where he helped maintain and develop a number of in-house engineering applications as well as accounting procurement systems built on .NET technologies, Oracle Developer (Forms and Reports), etc. Sidky began his career in programming by doing map-based services for non-profit organizations. He has more than five years experience in developing GIS/GPS applications on a desktop, mobile and web platform. Over the years he also developed an interest in open source, from his experience working as a GIS analyst/programmer in the International Rice Research Institute in the Philippines.
