BidGlory: one workspace, walkthrough to invoice.
BidGlory is our bid workspace for AV integrators, electricians and project-based specialty trades: walkthrough, proposal, field install and final invoice in one system. One pricing engine, so the proposal cover always matches the grid. A Technology Preview, and the demo is free.
Nothing is retyped, so nothing drifts.
The same project lives in five places: a spreadsheet for the bid, a Word doc for the proposal, a PDF plan for the takeoff, a shared inbox, a notes app. Nothing reconciles. BidGlory computes discounts, taxes, design fees and surtax once and shows them identically in the grid, the proposal, the AI prompt and the customer portal.
- One pricing engine: Equipment, cable, installation, design, shipping, tax, surtax, discount, grand total: one engine.
- Two estimators, zero silent overwrites: Per-row version tokens, a chip showing who else is editing, a banner when a teammate's edit lands.
- AI drafts, the estimator approves: Cover letter, scope and install notes drafted in about 30 seconds. Export stays disabled until a human approves every block. No override.
Why an e-commerce agency built a bid tool.
For fifteen years ProjectThunder was the engineering team behind BidMagic, our biggest customer in that time, and alongside it we built other SaaS businesses for their founders, among them NETfacilities, the facilities-management platform acquired in 2018 by AMTdirect, a company backed by Luminate Capital Partners, now a billion-dollar software fund, and since folded into MRI Software. We also built AMTdirect's Xamarin mobile app. Those products grew into multimillion-dollar companies, and building them is where we learned what a bid tool has to get right. The BidMagic company ceased doing business in 2023, and the contractors still running the software kept telling us they could not find anything better. So the engineers who build our B2B storefronts built BidGlory on .NET, with the rule behind its pricing engine: compute the price once, display it everywhere. E-commerce is still what we do all day. The rebuild is in our legacy .NET modernization piece.
Vertical depth, not horizontal sprawl.
Software for project-based trades, not a generic CRM or bookkeeping app. Not a fit: industrial assemblies-based takeoff shops on Accubid, ConEst or McCormick, anyone needing a stamped engineering deliverable, or anyone who wants a finished product with a long track record.
- AV integrators: Bid, proposal, takeoff and customer portal in one system.
- Electrical contractors: NEC Article 220 load calc, panel schedules and three-phase balance in the bid; a design aid, not a stamped calculation.
- Legacy BidMagic operators: Restore your .bak and BidGlory adopts it in place: bids, line items, clients, catalog, purchase orders, users.
- Low-voltage, smart home and security shops: Named on the demo form alongside AV and electrical; the same bid, proposal, takeoff and portal apply.
Bid, proposal, portal, field, back office.
One screen: header, line-item grid, rooms, multi-phase labor. Every feature is on bidglory.com.
- Proposals: DOCX from a Word mail-merge template, three style variants, Good-Better-Best tiers, payment plan, inline editor before send.
- Customer portal: Clients sign in, comment inline, accept with a signature or request changes. Share-token links with expiry for the architect or the GC.
- Plan takeoff: Markers on a PDF plan, room polygons, per-room device counts, converted into draft line items.
- Field and jobs: Install and tested toggles from a phone, permit and inspection tracking, status flow from sold to invoiced.
- Back office: Catalog with electrical specs, inventory and purchase orders, sales reports, xlsx export, portable .bgbid file.
How BidGlory is built.
Single-tenant, one company per install, self-hosted or managed. Multi-pod scale-out is on the roadmap, not shipped.
- Stack: .NET with Syncfusion Blazor components; browser-native from day one.
- Security: PBKDF2-SHA256 at 600,000 iterations, Have-I-Been-Pwned checks on every password set, secrets under ASP.NET Data Protection, four roles, every login and failure logged.
- Data: Idempotent SQL migrations with SHA-256 drift detection. Portable .bgbid export; no lock-in.
- AI: Any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, cloud or self-hosted: one URL, one key. Unconfigured, the AI panels stay dark; everything else works.
- Agents: MCP server, 11 v1 tools in read, draft and direct scopes. Agents draft but cannot approve their own drafts; every call is logged with an argument hash, not raw arguments.
Per instance, never per user.
Labeled Technology Preview on its own site: young, moving fast, expect rough edges. Self-hosted is free under $1M a year in sales, community support, no SLA. Managed hosting is priced on bid volume, not seats. Current tiers and full terms live at bidglory.com.
The demo is 30 minutes over Zoom or Meet, no card required. Bring a real bid. Or write to [email protected].

BidGlory puts the bid workspace, proposal output, plan takeoff and a customer portal in one system, with AI drafting behind a human approval gate and an MCP server whose agents cannot approve their own work. It is a Technology Preview from the same team, built with the same .NET rigor we bring to client work.
